Minor in Child Advocacy Studies

The Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) minor focuses on experiential, interdisciplinary, ethical and culturally sensitive content that will provide you with the knowledge base needed for working with children and responding to child maltreatment. 

This minor program focuses on developing your understanding of the numerous factors that lead to child maltreatment and of existing responses to incidents of child maltreatment. Your focus will prepare you to work more effectively within systems and institutions that respond to these crucial incidents. 
You will learn about the various interdisciplinary responses to child maltreatment and develop a multidisciplinary understanding of the most effective responses and solutions for addressing these concerns.
